Previously divided into multiple enclosed units accessible only through a central courtyard, the commercial space was reconfigured into an open, light-filled workplace with wide circulation paths, framed glass partitions, and a flexible combination of private offices, communal meeting areas, and individual workspaces.
White oak is carried throughout the office, bringing warmth and continuity to the streamlined architecture. Vintage and historically influenced furnishings add character and depth, while a soft, muted palette draws from the surrounding Southern California landscape—the ocean, sun-washed clay, palms, succulents, and coastal light. Comfortable textures and residential materials give the workplace an inviting, lived-in quality.
The modernist bathrooms introduce another layer of personality. Clad in all-over square tile, the spaces feel clean and architectural while subtly referencing vintage tiled interiors. Their restrained geometry and nostalgic undertones complement the office’s broader balance of modern functionality and design history.
